You should be able to get away with storing these squished nearly flat.
It's also way easier to grip than the waxed paper cone so it prevents drops.
They put a paper cone inside as a liner so they don't have to worry about cleaning as much. Silicone IS dishwasher safe though for when it does get messy.
My boy had a grape sno cone and I was very relieved to not have to worry about the cone soaking and tearing or having his straw poke a hole in it and get grape syrup all over his clothes.
The holder stands are way cool too. You can set down your cone as you eat (or prepare multiple cones) of course but I also realized when my boy was "done" with his cone and it still had some melted syrup in the bottom that having a fun stand to set it in prevented him from just laying the cone on the counter when nobody was looking and having it roll off and pour syrup everywhere.
Maybe I am a little too concerned about syrup messes but having to worry about stains and cleaning kind of takes the fun out of something like a sno cone so I highly recommend these! I also really like they work as a thermal sleeve, and the stands make it easier to prep a few sno cones if people aren't there to grab them as you go.
We have a nice blender we use to make the snow for our sno cones and it works wonderfully. No need for a separate kitchen appliance to shave ice.
One last idea - we are also planning to try freezing fruit juice and just "snowing" juice cubes too!
