HOWEVER, I HAD BOUGHT OTHER CUPS WHICH ARE MADE OF A SOFTER PLASTIC AND HAVE SUSTAINED THE FREEZING TEMPERATURE AND THE EXPANSION. THE TRICK IS NOT TO OVER FILL, IT WILL CRACK FASTER IF YOU DO AND THE THE MACHINE WILL NOT CLOSE PROPERLY.I HAVE LOOKED FOR MORE OF THE CUPS AND CAN NOT FIND THEM. I HAVE ABOUT 4 RIGHT NOW AND NEED MORE. I FIND THAT IF IT DOES GET STUCK AND DOES NOT WANT TO TURN SIMPLY LIFT LIGHTLY THE TURNING PART AND WIGGLE A BIT THE ICE INSIDE TO READJUST THE ICE AND START TURNING AGAIN. I LOVE THIS PRODUCT AND WILL DIE WITHOUT. I AM AN ICE FREAK I EAT IN THE SUMMER AND WINTER(I'M ANEMIC IRON DEFICIENT)I PUT THE PRODUCT BETWEEN MY KNEES FOR GOOD GRIP,THE CUPS DIRECTLY UNDER THE BLADES UNDERSIDE AND AT THE SAME TIME TURN THE CUP SLIGHTLY,LOL THAT IS HOW I DO IT NO MESS, NO SPILLED ICE. BUT OVERALL TAKE CARE OF THEM THEY DO LAST PRETTY LONG ESPECIALLY FOR THE PRICE!
